Black Diamond

A company of users! Black Diamond will be returning to this years Ice Bash.

Provider of some of the best Ice, Rock, Alpine and Skiing equipment this side of the North Pole, Black Diamond has had a hand in pushing technology for all climbing pursuits since the beginning. Some of the worlds biggest and most challenging first ascents have been done using their equipment, so you know it must be worthy. The Athlete Team consistently places high in competitions and continually seems to be pushing the boundaries of what is possible on Rock, Ice and and in the Alpine.

We are excited for their return and grateful to have their support for another year. Come on out for the Ice Bash weekend and climb something with some equipment from this high quality company.

Here are a few of the things we really like from Black Diamond:

Express Ice Screws. Arguably the most commonly placed screws around the globe. We love the 13cm’s and the 10’s are crucial for those thin Smugglers’ Notch Ice lines.

Express screws

Black Diamond Cobra Ice Tools. Bliss in your hand. The carbon fiber shaft dampens the vibration when swinging into ice making for a nice soft, solid stick. From moderate ice, to steep, brittle and chandelier-ed curtains, to long alpine climbs around the globe. These tools can do it all.

Cobras

Black Diamond Punisher Glove’s. Another staple among climbers around the globe. This glove has been proven as the go to glove for the chilly to average temp day. Go ahead, get them wet, beat them up, put them through the ringer!

Punisher

Speed 22 pack. We really like this size for a day out cragging in the Northeast. A comfortable size for the leader to carry with a parka, extra gloves, a thermos, and some food. Durable, light, comfortable…..perfect!

Speed 22 pack

And of course… the much anticipated Camalot X4 Cams. Small head width, great range, super flexible. These are quickly becoming the standard for those mixed route’s getting done in Smuggs’.

We’re excited to have the support from this great company. Thanks BD!
