The Mastadon Returns!

Mammut

Mammut is yet again showing their support for this years Smugglers Notch Ice Bash.

Maker of fine quality outdoor equipment and clothing, Mammut will be present the whole weekend with demo’s and products entered into the raffle for Saturday Nights presentation with Lindsay Fixmer. Last year Mammut was able to keep folks warm on those frigid days by supplying their super warm Ambler Hooded Jacket for demo. 800 fill goose down, Mammut qaulity for the construction… yeah this parka is AWESOME!

Mammut makes a lot of great products tailored specifically to Ice, Mixed and Alpine Climbing suitable for any Nor’easter. Some of the products our guides use and come recommended for winter climbing are:

The Mammut Smart Alpine: as one guide puts it, “…best thing since sliced bread.”  A belay device available in two different sizes for varying rope diameters.

The Togir Slide and the Women’s specific Togira Light Harnesses: everything you need, noting you don’t. We especially like the indicator mark on the belay loop and tie in points. Let’s you know when it’s time to replace the harness.

The always popular 9.5 Infinity single rope and the incredibly durable 8.5 Genesis double ropes: From Alaska Alpine, to Cannon Rock, to Ice Cragging at Lake Willoughby and Smugglers’ Notch; our guides love the handling and durability of Mammut ropes.

and the super boot, the Mammut Nordwand TL: Light, Nimble, Great Fit and Warm… what else do you need in a mountain boot!

These are just a few of the tools climbers and guides here in Vermont, around the US, and across the globe trust to keep them coming home from climbing adventures.

Make sure to check out and chat up the Mammut table at this years Smuggs Ice Bash!
